String winder with built in string trimmer -- great idea!
Quality:
The winder, which is plastic, attaches to the handle with a simple Phillips head wood screw. Tighten the screw too far and the winder won't turn; too loose and you risk losing the screw and the winder wobbles. The trimmer is a simple scissors cutter. To get the wire slot open requires the handles to be moved rather far apart, which could be a problem for people with small hands.
Value:
This is not a bad value for the money, especially since you get two tools in one convenient package.
Desirability:
This is a handy gadget. It folds compactly and is easy to use. Go to the hardware store and get some spare screws, just in case.

Effects are nice, and once you learn how to control them you get some great stuff out of this amp. Gain also works like a bass knob. The wattage selector is nice for sure, lets you take any hiss out by lowering the wattage if you're playing really quiet. It does really well with pedals too. I use delay, verbzilla, and grey DOD 250 (belive it or not). Even though the amp has delay and reverb you can not alway use them together. The DOD makes some really rockin tones with the Da5. It blows me away actually. Quality: Seams very nice. Get the diamond cloth front if you can, it looks the sharpest. Value: It is worth its price. Desirability: Silly question. Sound: It has some very nice sounds in it. It is a bedroom amp, so you're not going to jam with friends, but it's great for in the room. I am really impressed with the sounds I can dial out of this little baby, from clean to some great rocking sounds. It took me awhile to get there, the amp has a little bit of a learning curve, but a very enjoyable amp to practice with.
