The OM3, first introduced in 1989, is the original VLM technology high-output vocal microphone. An American-made hand-held vocal microphone designed for live performance, the OM3 is characterized by a hypercardioid pickup pattern and a uniform frequency response of 50-18kHz.
Review :Overall:
I've owned the DigiTech DigiVerb Digital Reverb Pedal since early 2004, and it rocks! The stereo output is amazing, and this little stompbox adds a lot of depth to your sound! I use the thick reverb of setting 4 the most, although I also have a lot of fun with the Reverse and Spring reverb settings. Used in conjunction with DigiTech's MultiChorus and DigiDelay pedals, you can crank out some fat sounds! Another awesome feature of this stompbox is that you can turn the Level knob all the way up, killing the dry sound so that you only hear the reverb! These pedals are built like tanks, using metal construction; and produce high-quality, digital sound. Their metallic paint makes them look really cool, too! DigiTech X-Series pedals provide you with the most bang for your buck, and I highly recommend them! Make sure to grab a DigiTech AC power supply so you can save money on batteries!

Quality: Build Quality comperable to the workhourse SM58. If it gets dirty just throw it in the wash, let air dry and you're good for the next gig - JK Road worthy Mic that can hold its own against all competitors. Value: Great Bang for the Buck. You could pay more...but you won't be buying a better Mic. Desirability: Great Black finish. Stands out from other mics. Slender design that is easy to hold. Has some heft to it. Feels expensive. Sound: Cleaner than a Beta 58 with the same smooth character of a Sennheiser 845 but with more output. Ease of Use: Pretty good right out of the box. Set the gain and you're good to go. Can be a little Bass Heavy with some voices. Hit the high pass and you're done. Support: Audix has one of the Best Customer Support departments in the business. These guys are Mic Nuts. If you have an idea to make the product better (don't hurt yourself trying) give them a call and don't be surprised if you see an upgrade. Try that with the other guys... Overall: I'll be using the OM3 for vocal and general purpose use for a loooong while. There is no such thing as the perfect mic or the "do it ALL" mic. Lets just say this is one that you should have in your Tool Kit if you plan on making money in Live Sound. Review this product |
