Like the Digital MPA, the MPA Gold features Variable Input Impedance. Variable Input Impedance is intended to optimize the MPA Gold for the widest range of microphones. Variation of the input impedance of a microphone preamplifier changes the load against which the microphone has to push. This variation dramatically alters the performance of a microphone, and creates numerous sonic possibilities for microphone performance. The variable impedance control of the MPA Gold is infinitely variable, as opposed to steps. This allows users much finer control over the tuning of the impedance.
Review :Feature:
N/A
Quality:
Perfect!!
Value:
This speaker (and other Eminence drivers) are worth DOUBLE the price paid...EASILY!
Desirability:
Huge value for the money! Musicians need all the financial breaks we can get!
Sound:
Smooth yet powerful addition to my Biamped bass rig. Handles the bass department very well and is pretty tight with the low B string. These are not harsh sounding in any way and don't color the tone much in my opinion. I am using 2-10" Legend speakers with a bullet for the highs. Head is a Gallien Krueger 800 RB in biamped mode with crossover set at @ 1 o'clock. Master volumes wide open and gain at @ 11 o'clock.
Ease of Use:
Mounted inside a 40 yr. old 3/4" plywood cabinet, side vented....OOOMPH right out of the box! I'm refinishing a second identical cabinet and ordering another Eminence Legend!!
Support:
2 year unconditional warranty! WOW!! no need for warranty work to date!
Overall:
I take good care of my gear and expect a long relationship! I'd replace with identical item! Comparable to my old 400 watt EV folded horn bins! No kidding!!

Art Mpa Gold Microphone Preamplifier Microphone Preamps Art Recording 1 45 Feature: I like the way you can choose the distorsion level. It gives lot of possibilities where most competitors just have one setting. Quality: Very good quality, except for the valves that are low cost chinese ones. But for this price, it sound great. Value: I can't find a better value for the sound and possibilities. Desirability: Of course it cannot beat a Manley, but If I got the money I would have bought one. With my budget, this gear is perfect. Sound: Even if this product is made in china, its works as expected. The valves can be changed easily and if you buy more expensive ones, you'll get the sound of +1000 USD gears. For my home studio it was perfect. Ease of Use: Well nothing else to say. You don't have to read the doc if you know what it is for. Support: I haven't the need to contact them Overall: I don't plan to change ever. It is a simple gear, and the only thing that need to be changed are the valves. Review this product |

Art Tube Mp Microphone Preamp (model 127) Microphone Preamps Art Recording Review :Feature: Being able to adjust the pads like gate time and sensitivity are what is needed, unlike some other products on the market. For a while Roland was making some pretty awful pads. They took away the cancel triggers from the rim of the unit and when you hit the plastic, it would trigger several sounds. This unit seems to have fixed that problem, as with the spd 20. I would have given a 10 on this section but I have a little trouble controling the triggers evenly. Mostly because 3 of them are edge triggers and need to be played differently and set differently. Quality: Just right. Plastic could be heavier but it's ok. The size is small and easy to place in a big setup. Very dependable works every time. Internal effects are nice. Value: 9 triggers for $500, what a deal. Sound: Typical sounds, but the sampling makes it able to have any sound you desire. The expansion slot for a compact flash card is also a great feature. Ease of Use: Very easy to use. Nice sounds and easy. Support: OK online support. Overall: I wish it had one or 2 more trigger inputs. But this items does what it is supposed to do. If Roland could make a better zone type trigger, it would be great. Shipping Cost :$4.99 Listing Price :$59 Review this product |

Quality: Worked like a dream, for many years, till someone walked off with it..... Value: Well, it's expensive, too expensive, but it is a pro-quality piece of equipment, so I'll buy another, or two... Ease of Use: Worked perfectly for over ten years, and plenty of gigs, in all kinds of places... Overall: Unless & until I find another of comparable quality, this is what I will use....
