Review :Feature:
The size was what attracted me to this monitor in the first place...small.
Value:
It's not worth the price. Even though it cost me $50 to ship it back, I know I would not use it if I kept it.
Sound:
The line input (using a CD player as a source) sounded really bad. The highs were distorted and the overall sound was nowhere near flat. When using the Amp In input (bypasses tone controls) the sound improved but was still unsatisfactory (very edgy). I think the problems were related to cheap tone control circuits and a really bad choice of high-frequency driver for this product.
Overall:
The Yamaha MSR-100 totally blows away the Fender 1270P. Yes, the Yamaha costs about $100.00 more but it is an order of magnitude better than the Fender. I really expected much more quality from a Fender product.
