The sound quality is awesome, only two kind of people would buy protools rather than Motu, the one who would pay any amount just to match with industry standard , second an idiot who spends his whole life savings in protools. Honestly this is a much better buy if you are looking for bang for the buck.

Quality: really sturdy looking and well put together. Value: going to sell them and get some second hand passive spendors for nearly twice what i paid for these. there must be some neutral monitors around for the same money but I don't know what they are Desirability: recording has become a frustration since i had these, Sound: don't know why i am alone here, but these monitors are close to useless because of one fundamental flaw. The bass is all over the place and dominates the overall sound with an unpleasant, boxy booming. Desirability: Looks good, serves its purpose. Sound: This speaker sounds pretty good when you have it eq'd right, but dosent put out a lot of sound unless you really push it. I went to a large store and looked at everything up to $1800. Came home and ordered it. I could be a snob and buy an ES something but why? Just because this is under $500 dont think its inferior workmanship. The pickups were not as hot as some. But hardly noticeable unless you have them side by side like I did.
