Sound:
AlbertKingVille! The description on Seymour Duncan's site fits this pickup well. I find it: smooth, warm and thick. The quality is perfect for clean blues and jazz like tones. Distortion is alright, if you enjoy "old-school" distortion. If one is looking for quality, this is the pickup to buy! I played several other Gibsons with other pickups -- these were the ones for me.
Ease of Use:
Outstanding harmonics; ease of use not a problem at all; best pickup I ever played, no question.
Support:
They have responded via e~mail within the same day; wonderful service.
Overall:
I would buy this product again, even if it failed. It is amazing for blues tones.

Quality: This thing's built like a tank. Value: A little on the expensive side.We'll see if it pays off. Desirability: Very practical the way its set up. Sound: I use two basses;an Ernie Ball Stingray 4 and a Modulus Flea 5. This box does a great job to equalize the signal sent to my Aphex 661 compressor since the output of these two basses differs by 9 volts.I am also able to fine tune the sound of each bass as needed. Just what I was looking for. Support: I havent had to deal with the company yet but I'm optimistic. Overall: This was the only product I could find that did everything I was looking for. If I were to redesign this thing I would probably allow each channel the same set up possibilities. Review this product |

The Ampeg reproduced my basses sounds like the fret board the squeaking of the strings etc. I asked my wife to listen and she was amazed also. You can,t go wrong with the Ampeg SVT15E.
