The Tascam SSCDR1 combines Compact Flash and Compact Disc recording into a single rackspace. Designed for applications that previously used a cassette or MiniDisc recorder, the SSCDR1 records in WAVE or MP3 formats to Compact Flash media. A slot-loading CD transport is provided CD recording, MP3 conversion and audio transfer. The recorder includes balanced and unbalanced audio inputs and outputs, RS232 and parallel control and a wired remote control.

little pricey, but worth it
Desirability:
after researching, (don't know anyone else with one) I knew I had to have it.
Sound:
got rid of the Elixers, and put on Blue Steel acoustic, Big difference
Ease of Use:
free dvd helps on setting up the expression system to get the sound you want. I had to take to to a local guitar shop for some final set up, but it all but plays itself.

I'll never replace it, I may add another later.

Roland Cd-2e Sd And Cd Recorder Cd Recorders Roland Recording Review :Feature: I knew this was I stripped down version of Guitar Rig but I was surprised at how much stuff they left off. I had the Guitar Rig Demo and believe me there is a Big Difference Quality: Interface is solid and compact. No problems here. Value: Not a bad value considering what the full version costs. Still a tad overpriced for what it is. Desirability: No real sex appeal. A pratical addition to my setup I suppose. Sound: Sound quality is not top of the line but not far from it. The Marshall sounds were about what I expected. For wild crunchy tones you could do worse than buy this. Ease of Use: If your reasonably used to amp simulation software you should have no trouble sculpting sounds out of this. Support: Never had to use them so I will give them the benefit of the doubt.
