Envelope follower plus effects loop. Like the original with added Effects Loop and Attack Response Switch. The Effects Loop lets you place an additional effect between the Q-Tron 's preamp and filter section without changing the envelope drive. The added Response Switch selects between a slow, smooth, vowel-like attack and the fast, snaked response of the original Q-Tron.

Great budget mic but you will need to pair it with a nice pre-amp since it does not have a pad or high pass filter.
Quality:
Not a $1000 mic but sounds almost as good as one
Value:
No better large diaphragm condensor at this price
Desirability:
I will never record vocals agin with a dynamic mic.
Sound:
Very clear sound, extremely sensative but sounds great on vocals and drum overhead.
