Audio Technica At8801 48vdc Single Channel Phantom Power Supply Phantom Power Supplies Audio Technica Recording Review :Feature: Phaser, Chorus, Echo, Clean, Distortion at the push of a button or a twist of a knob, how can you beat that? Has way more than what most practice amps have, but that's a good thing. Quality: The amp is sturdy. No lose screws or ends. Remember that this is a practice amp! Obviously not made for gigs! Value: For $100, you can't beat it. Some tone geeks may like other brands, but how many of those amps have all the effects? This was worth every penny that I spent on it. Sound: You can't beat the tone and effects that are on this amp. For the size that this amp is, it is LOUD! The chorus mixed in with the clean sounds amazing and I actually like using it more than the standard clean. For distortion, I always put it to Insane for my drop C tuning. I tried many different practice amps before settling on this one. Ease of Use: You will have to read the instruction manual or toy around with it to get certain settings to work (i.e. clean mode without chorus). Overall: I won't be searching for another practice amp. There's no need to when I have everything I want without all the extra cables. If anything were to happen to this amp I would definitely purchase another one. The only flaw is that you have to get used to twisting knobs to turn effects off.
