Numark Total Control Usb Midi Dj Software Controller Dj Control Surfaces Numark Computer Music Review :Feature: The headset fits my big head comfortably, though it doesn't reduce down for easier packing. The mic comes around right in front of your mouth, which allows for no feedback, even when you're very close to the speaker. However, some may find it distracting. As a solo performer who expects lots of laughs, I liked the fact that I could reach up and increase my volume simply by moving the mic just a little closer to my mouth and it would stay in place. Quality: The new ones have a windscreen that is there to stay. After 1,000 shows of haphazard packing I tried flying with my Crown headset and somehow lost the connection. But I abused it in packing MANY times and came out okay. Value: In short, if you don't mind the large windscreen, you'll get GREAT sound and dependability. Sound: Has a great low end! I have to warn the sound techs to be ready for the bass coming through. The highs are also clear, but not tinny. Nice and clear! Ease of Use: Once you've adjusted it to a comfy fit you're set! I used mine in over 1,000 shows and only had to readjust it once or twice! Support: Had to replace the old style windscreen with a new one. Easy to deal with. But, 12 really worked for us. Very simple to operate. Easy to change the few params you can change. Just practice alone before you use it live. Its too painful to listen to the cat squeals too many times. Quality: Nicely built unit. LEDs do the job. Value: EVERY local rock band should have one of these at least for the monitors. No more squeals throughout the gig. Desirability: A soundman's best friend. If you don't have a soundman, you really need this device. Sound: Overall, the sound was really good. Not perfect but absolutely did the job I wanted it to do...make the monitors LOUD! The filters really are narrow and they do work. There is some noise and there is some audible effects when the dynamic filters kick in. But the band said it was more than tolerable and they LOVED the extra gain...a lot! Setup goes quick but soudns like a bunch of tortured cats. Make sure the caterers leave the room before you crank teh monitors. Support: Have not neded any yet. Overall: This device is not perfect. But I will not do a live gig without having it available when I need it. The unit could be quieter but hey, I'm doing sound for a rock band with 3 guitars. :-( Really easy to use.
