Make no mistake -- these don't just lead the class, they completely redefine it! The 8.1A provides a 1/4 in. unbalanced input, and the 8.2A provides a balanced XLR-1/4 in. combo input. Rear panel controls include Volume level and a carefully tailored bass filter switch. For professional recording and post production, Diamond 8 speakers are a superb reference for the creation and mixing of program material.

Feature:
Not too much too it. Just the switches, inputs, & knob.
Quality:
They're heavy, which I like. Detail is very present, but they look so simple.
Value:
Well worth it. Much better than the BX5A's & HS50M's
Desirability:
These speakers are gorgeous. They actually gleam. The blue light in the front makes it seem more professional. The drivers look very sharp.
Sound:
Incredibly rich. The sound quality is extremely high. Treble is increadibly pleasing & the mid-range is calm. I can't really go into too much detail since my room is not treated, but at this price, they're the best personal listening speakers I've ever owned.
Ease of Use:
Not too much too it. Just the switches, inputs, & knob.
Support:
No service needed yet. They are based overseas, so I hope my pair is reliable.

Fostex Pm05mkii Powered Nearfield Monitor Active powered Studio Monitors Fostex Recording Review :Feature: Not much to say here, the inputs sometimes come a little loose, but can be finger tightened. No problems here. Quality: Cheap build, but works for my purposes. I can see how people would have problems having it hold up in heavy-use situations. If you treat it well and dont drop it or anything, its a good speaker for the money. Value: Very good buy value wise. Its a cheap speaker, but can hold its own. Desirability: Looks good, serves its purpose. Sound: This speaker sounds pretty good when you have it eq'd right, but dosent put out a lot of sound unless you really push it. Ease of Use: Very straight forward, easy to use. It dosent put out a lot of sound unless you push it. Overall: The way I use it, this product will hold up for a long time. I do not use it very hard, but it seems to hold up well. Shipping Cost :$0 Listing Price :$349 Review this product |

Krk Vxt8 Active Studio Monitor Active powered Studio Monitors Krk Recording Review :Feature: I hate multiple tone and volume controls. The simple format is a great feature. I don't like where the strap knob it - I will try to have it changed. The knobs are wood! Quality: The best 500 dollar guitar I've played. The frets are a little rough but the action is excellent with no buzz at all. Everything feels quite perfect. One of the knobs is a tiny bit crooked - no biggy. Desirability: If they made another color in the USA I would buy a second one. Sound: Very good, better than expected. I had all sorts of pickup options planned out but now I don't feel very compelled to change from stock. Ease of Use: Again, simple controls. The action is great too which makes it a breeze to play.
