Yamaha Mw12c 12-channel Usb Mixer With Compression 4 bus Mixers Yamaha Recording Review :Feature: Features are useless if the sound is awful. Quality: Sound is terrible when played below 50% volume. Distortion coming from the tweeters when playing anything around 400HZ. They sound like $20 dollar speakers. Very cheap. Sound: Stay far away from these folks. These speakers have distortion coming from the tweeters during LOW and MID volume levels. I took them back and got a second pair and still had the same problem. Yamaha Mw12cx 12-channel Usb Mixer With Effects 4 bus Mixers Yamaha Recording 0 8 Feature: It does what it says on the tin. Having utility compression on input is useful. And did I mention the great signal routing path? The stereo line ins (9/10 and 11/12) don't have mid Eq, only top and bottom. Quality: Seems solid. Unfortunately, the default Windows USB audio device driver doesn't work with this device; sound comes out totally garbled. Value: Get the MW12C. The effects are not worth the $30 extra. Desirability: It's OK. Sound: There's a bit of noise, but not too terrible. The signal routing is great for this price class, with two independent stereo buses plus the USB I/O. The effects, however, aren't really useful. They sound like a hold-over from the first cheap digital effect boxes from 1985. I much prefer the effects in VST. Ease of Use: Really nothing to complain about. Some of the buttons are a little hard to tell whether they're in or out. Support: I tried getting a fix for the USB audio device problem on the web site, but they only have an update for ASIO/KS. Overall: I got this because it was the cheapest mixer I could get with two independent busses and reasonable Mic pres. It does just fine for that. Review this product |

Allen And Heath Zed14 14-channel Mixer With Usb Interface 4 bus Mixers Allen And Heath Recording Review :Feature: No actual features accept the 1/4" jack which works very well. However, these headphones will fit anybody's head! They swivel or turn in two different directions I did't even know about when I bought them. They are adjustable and very comfortable. Quality: For $25, the quality is excellent. The ten foot cord seems very durable along with the ear pads. Value: These headphones are an amazing value, I'm surprised they are not twice as expensive as they really are! Sound: For $25, the sound quality of these are pretty darn good. No fuzz. No distortion. Just whatever you're supposed to hear! Ease of Use: Easy to use. Not much to do. If you can't figure out how to use these, get some HELP! Overall: Buy these now! Phonic Helix18 Firewire Mkii 18-channel Mixer 4 bus Mixers Phonic Recording Review :Feature: No "I heart p-90s" stickers. No catalog of outfits to dress them up in. SD really fell down on the job here. Quality: Nothing seems amiss, and once installedm, it's hard for anything to really go wrong with a pickup. Value: Sounds great, and fits in where a humbucker would go. For a Gibson P-90 you'd pay more upfront, and then have to take a router to the top of your guitar. Desirability: Looks like a normal shiny humbucker... but wait... the posts are running down the middle... is that a giant single coil??? Be still my heart. (Sad truth is that I'm enough of a guitar geek that the above was not meant as sarcasm) Sound: If you love that P-90 sound, you won't be disappointed. Crank them up and you get one of the all time great rock 'n' roll sounds. Huge, thick, sloppy notes with crazy amounts of tone. Not the right pickups for your machine gun shredding (all that pick work will be lost) but the best pickups in the world for big nast riffs and power-chords. HIGHLY recommended for punk guitarists. Support: Haven't dealt with them, but they have a pretty good website. Overall: I play a bunch of different guitars. But this will be my primary one for some time to come. Quality: If you plan on taking it out for many gigs, then buy a hardshell case, but it's pretty solid. Value: I bought mine new for 540. Guitar center matched a price i found online. I felt for that price it was a good deal. Desirability: It almost has everything i want in a mixer. Sound: Mackie mixers always sound great. Ease of Use: There are any tricks to it. It's pretty standard, if Support: I've heard some horror stories about mackie support. I've never had to use them yet. Overall: If I had to get it again, i would probably get something a little smaller with mono outs, but i think it is a pretty good unit. Review this product |

Phonic Helix Board 24 Firewire Mkii 24-channel Mixer 4 bus Mixers Phonic Recording 1 9 Feature: Pretty much does everything a MixWiz will, but this has the added option of Firewire I/O. Quality: Time will tell. I've had this board for 6 months running the show in a rack, and had no problems. I have an old Phonic board I've used for about 15 years, and had a scratchy pot. No other problems. I don't expect any, Value: This is a steal. Look at a Presonus firepod and it's limited capabilities then look at this. Desirability: LOL. It looks like a mixer. Sound: Very transparent preamps. Many of the effects are good as well, but I do not use them (have another source) so we can use all of the aux channels for personal monitor mixes. Ease of Use: It's a mixing board. Know how to run one? Then this one is a piece o cake. Support: Never dealt with them. Overall: This thing is great for live use. We've used it with great results in the 'studio' as well. The drivers worked perfectly and everything worked great with a desktop. Had limited luck with a laptop. This board is worth every penny.
