Epiphone Embassy Special Iv Electric Bass 4 string Electric Bass Guitars Epiphone Bass Guitars, Amps, and Effects Review :Feature: As far as bolt on necks go i really liked this neck, but i would really prefer a glued neck or neck throught...that is the only reason why i dont own one now. I would rather it have a coil tap like the c-1 plus but you can still get nice cleans from the buckers. The FR stayed in tune well also. Quality: i played 2 daimens and one had a nice, deep clored neck and fret board. The second i played had a lighter finish one the neck and the board was lighter, and for some reason felt a little slower. Definitely go to the shop and play the one your gonna get before you buy it..this is not a guitar you can buy without trying the exact one your getting. Desirability: the finish and the bat inlays just scream metal... Sound: This is a really nice guitar for 400$. I gave it an 8 because for 400$you could do better, but not with out searching countless music stores for a used c-1 plus. But if you want a guitar w. a floyd rose and emgs then this is your guitar. The emgs are not actives but sound just as good, in my opinion as the 81-85 set. I can get really nice metal sounds out of this guitar when plugged into a spider2 head and cab or a marshall head. Desirability: Looks really cool when it's on; the lights. Sound: With this amp I am able to get virtually any sound that I want, without a bunch of cumbersome pedals! I own a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier Road King, a Marshall JCM 2000 Dual Super Lead, as well. I now prefer to use this amp exclusively. Ease of Use: You have to experiment with the amp. Quality: Seems to be just as good as as other guitars in the $300-$500 range. Value: Fair price a $169 Desirability: Got that pro look.... Sound: Holds up its end in the church band. My grandson (5years old) listens and follows the best he can. Ease of Use: Simple enough without the manual. But as a gift the correct manual would have been nice. Good handling weight for kids. Just volume and tone.......well for the type of music that I play anyways. Quality: This bass is made really well! there are no loose knobs or jacks its a really solid reliable bass!! This bass is tougher than a two dollar steak!!! Value: This bass is most definatly worth more than the asking price! Which is not much to begin with anyway. Desirability: this bass looks so awsome!!! especially the flat mahogany model! I just cant put it down! Its srtipped down to the basics and for me less is always more....its simple and i like that. Sound: The sound on this bass is awsome!!! Its perfect from punk rock and country. Im sure its good for other types of music as well.But awsome for punk rock! It's small, so it should fit in one of my cases ok. Value: Good God people. If you are playing acoustic, this box is amazing for the dough...even if you only use it as a DI! Sound: I'm using this thing with a Blue Lion pickup and Baggs Para Acustic DI preamp, playing a custom made Cedar four string lap dulcimer. This setup is giving me sound opportunities I have been dreaming of for many years. I love the box but have a wish list, (I am basically a solo live artist): The ability to edit patches via USB, setting up a series of coordinated effects I can move through coordinated with live playing. The ability to edit drum sounds and to create pre programmed playback/backing tracks. Overall, I am totally happy! Ibanez Gsr200 Electric Bass 4 string Electric Bass Guitars Ibanez Bass Guitars, Amps, and Effects Review :Feature: I wish it had an LCD, but it's loaded with pretty much everything I'll need to play just about anything. Quality: I like the durable case and the 360 degree knobs. It's built well. Value: I spent as much on a Holy Grail and daisy chain power supply as I did on this thing. For the price of 2 decent pedals, you can have nearly every effect out there. Since most of us only used some of those effects for 1 or 2 songs, it's crazy to buy dedicated pedals for each one. Sound: This replaced my Holy Grail, GV-2, DS-1 and another Digitech distortion pedal. I like the effects better than the Line 6, the reverb is better than the Electroharmonix, and the ability to fine tune the distortion is far superior to any other pedal I've tried. I play a Washburn through a Blackheart head and Budda cab and I've finally found the sound I've been searching for. Ease of Use: I'm still trying to master all of the effects and settings. There is a lot to learn. But basic operation is strait forward. Overall: For the price, this thing can't be beat. Stop wasting time trying out every make of pedal for every different effect out there, and try this. If you can find even 2 sounds that you like, you've basically covered the price. It's got tone and such but thats enough Quality: A friend of mine has his and he's dropped it , sat on it, just about everything and his still sounds like the day he bought it. Value: Very good for a starter bass. Great buy for beginner or intermidate players. Desirability: I love the look of it. I got the blue and its a little bit darker than the picture and it has helped me get a few girls so no complants. Sound: I bought this about a week ago and right out of the box it sounded amazing. The strings were smooth and bassy. I bought a pair of ernie ball strings but im still using the stock ones because im still happy with the tone they make. Ease of Use: Like i said out of the box and started playing very easy to use. Overall: I'll probably always keep this bass because of the quality. Quality: Appears to be a well crafted piece, machine cutout, etc. Smooth finish, but horrible graphic colors. Value: Appears strong, well made, Desirability: This is the area that the item failed to my opinion. The design is embossed on decent leather, it appears, but then is painted with chrome-metallic paint, which made the rose design appear cheap and gaudy. Toning down the colors to practical colors would have really made this a nice strap, but gold leaves and red rose colors get this otherwise nice strap place on a secondary guitar, not my beautiful new ax! Sound: This was actually a n/a. Ease of Use: .... and the hole slips over the button.... simple Support: Cant see taking away points for this, does anyone ever need tech support for a guitar strap? Peavey Millennium Bass 4 Quilt Top Bxp Electric Bass 4 string Electric Bass Guitars Peavey Bass Guitars, Amps, and Effects 0 137 Feature: The features are pretty standard for a bass this price. 2 volume knobs and one tone knob. That's about it. Quality: The bass does look and feel kinda flimsy. Amazingly it stays in tune pretty good. The tuning keys though, they feel plastic. They haven't failed me yet, but they do feel REALLY cheap. BUT the fretboard is of a very strong quality. I ALWAYS check the fretboards of guitars before I buuy them. Popped out frets are my biggest pet peeve. This neck is smoooth. Value: The value here is good. Peavey cheaped out where they could and made good where it was important. This bass stays in tune, sounds great, and is very playable. Sure the body and tuning keys are lackluster, but you gotta cut corners somewhere to get a good price like this. I say the right corner's were cut. Sound: The sound of this bass is one of it's best qualities. It sounds awesome with the hum-cancelling you get with both pickups engaged. A nice fat, deep tone with lot's of character. Overall: This bass is serving me well. When I get the money, I will upgrade, but I probably won't get rid of this bass.
