Ibanez Aeb10e Acoustic-electric Bass Acoustic Bass Guitars Ibanez Bass Guitars, Amps, and Effects 1 47 Feature: The on-board tuner is a nice touch and easy to use. The use of AA batteries instead of nine volts is a big improvement. Quality: The fit and finish are good and wood selections really deliver in the tone. Value: Good sound, good features, beats out others in the same price category. Desirability: Black with nice mother of pearl inlay and binding. Sound: Bright solid tone without any low end loss. I play mainly jazz and folk and it provides a warm expressive sound unplugged for small acoustic sessions. Plugged in it is just as impressive. The Fisher SST pickups provide full range and there is no feedback. I tried a lot of different acoustic-electric basses before buying and this had the best sound for the dollar. Support: Haven't had to deal with service, but web site for Ibanez is very helpful. Overall: I was just looking for an acoutic electric bass to play unplugged with friends, but will probably be using this more than I originally planned. It is just that good. Review this product |

Epiphone El Capitan Iv Acoustic-electric Bass Acoustic Bass Guitars Epiphone Bass Guitars, Amps, and Effects 0 11 Feature: Battery compartment a little tough to get into, but pre-amp works well. Desirability: It works for what I need it for. It is a large instrument, so make sure you can carry it onstage. Sound: very woody, deep and rich. stays in tune well. As with most acoustic/electric basses, you will need an amp if you are doing anything more than practicing by yourself. I run it through a Hartke Kickback 12, and it sounds wonderful. Ease of Use: very playable. you are not going to be burning up the frets, but this is the wrong instrument for that! Support: Never dealt with Epiphone. Overall: I bought this one based on price and availability...they had it at the local store. Wife talked me into it. I love playing it. I am going to use it until it won't work anymore. Not sure what I will do then. Review this product |

Fender Bg31 Acoustic-electric Bass Acoustic Bass Guitars Fender Bass Guitars, Amps, and Effects 0 101 Feature: Mine did not include accessories at all, I had to purchase everything else separately. (polish, case, cords, battery) Also, it came strung with heavy gague round wounds, which are absolutely abysmal and transmit all kinds of string noise. I changed them to light gague nylon flat wounds, and the action improved greatly. I also wish I had gotten one with the cutaway. The symmetrical body is pretty, but I do a fair bit of soloing, and have had to re-finger a number of songs because I couldn't reach the upper 8 frets. AND I had to add my own upper strap button. Quality: So far, I have been pleased with the quality of the instrument. The battery runs down quickly (I have to unplug between sets, and a battery rarely lasts more than one gig). The only cosmetic issue I have is that it looks like the head was drilled for a 6-string then filled and re-drilled for a 4. Value: This is my 4th bass, and my favorite. I also have a Hondo II, a Yamaha long-scale and a Guild fretless. I also got a better deal on it than on the others. Sound: I bought this to use in acoustical, un-amped settings, and the sound and balance (with my wife's guitar) are perfect. Solid low-end with enough overtone to not sound mushy. When I amp I play through a 1969 Ampeg v2 (eat your heart out :) ) and it still sounds great. Amped it is very touchy, and the Fishman picks up everything, even my sloppy changes and thupms on the body. Review this product |

Quality: Tuning peg on the A string out of alignment with other 3 Pegs. (very noticeable) Also tooling marks on back of neck. Had it not been for these cosmetic Flaws, This bass would have easily rated a 10+. Value: Its definitely a nice bass, so yes its worth the price. Desirability: Awsome Looks, this bass is without doubt beautiful. Sound: Nice sound, but lacks sustain. Built in equalizer is great! Ease of Use: Very easy to play,smaller size of body and neck design are exellent.Use of equalizer is simple. Support: Haven't dealt with this company Yet! Washburn Ab10 Acoustic-electric Bass (with Gig Bag) Acoustic Bass Guitars Washburn Bass Guitars, Amps, and Effects Review :Feature: It's a pretty basic feature set, but did what it said it would do. Also to get all these types of features I figured I would have to buy 4 different products so it was a good deal. Desirability: It has enough different styles of drumming, and variations on a groove that it's really helped my songwriting in a bunch of music genres. Also with the search engine, I can start writing faster vs. nerding out on the computer and searching for files for 1/2 hr. Sound: These audio loops are great (killer drummers, not recorded too wet) and the 700 free extra MIDI grooves were great quality as well. Support: seems like they have a good forum at their website. Overall: I still use another product (Reason) for my "synthesizer" sounding drum stuff. But for real sounding drums this is great. There's nothing like loops of great drummers.
