Quality: The microphone is solid. I've used it on some extremely loud instruments on stage close mic'd, and it always comes out clean. The shockmount is poorly welded though. The outer ring that attaches to the stand has broken, and slips. This is corrected by adjusting the angle of the boom on the stand, but it's a minor annoyance. Value: For the price, you can't beat this mic. Desirability: It certainly looks nice and different. Sound: When I bought this microphone, I was looking into higher end mics at the local store. I was trying a bunch of mics out costing as high as $1000, and wasn't really happy with any of them. The salesperson suggested that I try this one, and immediately fell in love with it. The high end is crisp and strong, and the low end is smooth and rich. I often bring it with me to record live shows and have used it on every instrument and have yet to find a weak point in its sound. Unfortunately, it is a dynamic, so in the studio you're going to need a pretty powerful preamp to catch quieter vocals, but apart from that there are absolutely no downsides to this microphone. I am not happy with the product and being the second one I have tried i do not recommend it. Fisherman suggests removinging it time its bagged of cases, I don't know how much removing this set-up could take, but so far no problem. Quality: I mentioned durability above, if not for the screw on piece, I think a car could run over it and it would be good to go Value: great deal Desirability: if you want a pick-up that is a great buy without no fuss.. this is it Sound: Just what I as a busker was looking for. My amp is a "Cube Street", the guitar is a Baby Taylor.. thats is, what I use on the streets. This Pick Up is perfect match for this guitar and amp. Very surprised given the price but reading different revues I took the chance. Very balance and what goes in comes out.. of course its not a pure acoustic sound but believe it or not, it captures tone and since the amp is not a top shelf acoustic amp (although its a great little amp) its a great pickup at least for what I got going. Ease of Use: just slip in the sound hole but tape down the cable or it will hump up and hit the strings Support: heard they are OK Overall: i would purchase the same pick-up Review this product |

It's a little to heavy (51 lbs) I do about 5 set ups and 5 break downs a week and if this speaker was 8 pounds lighter it would help. using a cart really makes no difference (loding and unloading the cart) the sound quality is wonderful. the 12 inch speakers give me all the bass I need. There were no other parts needed, I installed this product, plugged in and was playing in a matter of minutes. Quality: This pickup is well made and fits very snug in the sound hole. No worries about looseness. Sound: I installed this pickup in my Alvarez sound hole, and was amazed when all I heard was an amplified Alvarez. The sound quality that this product provided was crisp, clear, and in no way altered the sound of my guitar. It is just what I was looking for, at a great price. The highs and lows are equal, and no adjustment was required. Sounds great, I would recomend it to anyone who wants powerful, clean sound for the Acoustic Guitar. Ease of Use: Just plug in and play!!! No modification needed. Like I said before just plug in and play. The instruction manual is clear if you even need it. Quality: I have used it fairly often and it still fits fine and looks unobtrusive. Value: I am pleased with it. Desirability: It's a Seymour Duncan! Sound: I have used this pick up for about 10 years and never had a problem with it. I use it live mostly and although it does take a little work to get it installed and to remove, you just have to take a minute and do it carefully. It recreates the sound of my DF18 Tacoma very well and for the money I am very pleased and recommend it. Ease of Use: Installation and removal take some coordination and care. I have seen others with this problem too. Value: Yeah it make my 95 DN come to life in ways I never thought possible Desirability: It is already installed. My guitar mechanic put the bag inside the guitar and the adhesive only lasted 2 hours. I don't want to staple it in but that may be my only choice, to a brace that is!
