Behringer Am100 Acoustic Modeler Guitar Pedal Acoustic Guitar Simulators Behringer Guitars, Amps, and Effects Review :Feature: Plenty of features but still simple to use. I compared to Fender Cyber Deluxe, which requires a pilot's license to operate. One feature I wish it had is touch wah, which is why I dock it a couple of points here. Waaaah. Quality: Time will tell but this seems solid and well built. Very elegant look, imho. Not at all cheesy like the teen-oriented Spider series. This looks and feels like it was made for grownups. Value: The amp itself seems reasonably priced BUT THE OPTIONAL FLOORBOARD IS RIDICULOUS AT ALMOST HALF AS MUCH. IT'S GOUGING PLAIN AND SIMPLE. Desirability: Tube snobs may sneer but this is a nice looking and good sounding all-in-one amp. No one yet seems to do the modeling thing better than Line6. This rig is ideal for home use, jamming and light gigging. Sound: Deep rich sound for solid state; amp/cab sims are very good. No it's not a tube amp, so 9 is the best rating it can get. Behringer Am100 Acoustic Modeler Guitar Pedal Acoustic Guitar Simulators Behringer Guitars, Amps, and Effects 0 13 Feature: Comes with 4 acoustic styles - standard, large, piezo and bright - but the difference between the four is, to my ear, rather subtle. Quality: The plastic appears solid and sturdy, but the clumsiness in which they concocted the battery compartment really puts a damper on the quality component. Value: For 30 bucks, you can make your cheap electric guitar with its cheap amp sound like a cheap acoustic guitar. Who can beat that? Sound: I get a nice, twangy, steel guitar acoustic sound on my Schecter Omen-6 with this box, especially when going through the acoustic amp modeler of my Digitech RP50. The downside is it can generate a lot of hiss when using too much "effect". I'll need some sort of noise reducer to compensate. Ease of Use: Easy to use. Play with the knobs until you get the sound you like! The "acousticness" pretty much all comes from the Enhance knob anyway. NOTE - THE BATTERY COMPARTMENT IS LOCATED UNDER THE PEDAL. And it's a pain to install. Be careful, this procedure can break the pedal! Support: Haven't had to call them, but at least they provide phone numbers with the product. Overall: I'll be using this product until I get good enough to either 1) buy an actual acoustic guitar (space is an issue in my home though) or 2) upgrade to one of the "Top Shelf" acoustic modelers Review this product |

Boss Ac-3 Acoustic Simulator Pedal Acoustic Guitar Simulators Boss Guitars, Amps, and Effects 0 37 Feature: The preset modes are nice, the Piezo is my personal preference. The Top and Body tone knobs are effective and can greatly change your sound, and the Reverb function is high quality and useful. Quality: Standard Boss Again: I'd imagine if I threw this pedal off of the roof it might break a knob off, but they pedal would still work. This pedal feels like a beast for its size. Sound: This pedal has excellent sound. I love instead of turning off the Distortion and getting a hollow sounding clean electric, now I just hit the stompbox and it sounds like I just picked up my acoustic that's sitting in the corner (Which is just too far to consider). Ease of Use: Standard Boss: Plug and play. Support: Never needed support. Overall: Overall I'd give this pedal a 9, only because you have to adjust it quite a bit if you plug into a new amp to get the perfect sound you want. Review this product |
