Value: A little pricey, but well worth it to add that deep bass to your PA. Desirability: It's just a fuzzy box. Sound: Clear & Deep bass tones. Not as powerful as I expected, but still very good for our system. We play small to mid size clubs from 200 to 300 people. Ease of Use: The speaker level input allows you to use these subs without a crossover. Awesome! Support: JBL provided me with lots of email support for my config of my PA with these subs. Overall: For your first set of Subs for a PA system. These JBLs cannot be beat IMO. Review this product |

Yamaha Msr800w Powered Subwoofer (800 Watts 1x15 In.) Active powered Pa Subwoofers Yamaha Live Sound/PA 0 43 Feature: OK, so it's powered. That makes it easier to hook up. And it has direct inputs, and EQ. eh! Quality: Well made internally. Stupidest design on the planet. Value: There's better stuff out there for better money. Do your homework. Desirability: Again, it's clumsy, and the exterior is poorly designed. Sound: If you bother to hear this against other product out there, you would find that this speaker system does not really sound all that good. I compared my G2 15" powered eons to JBL MR925's and even a cheapo Carvin PA cabinet. The MR925 sounded better, and the Carvin sounded better than either. I have since dumped them, and haven't looked back!! Ease of Use: Plug and play. Support: You can usually get a tech on the phone. Overall: I dumped mine. Go compare, and you'll dump yours too. Sound: Very crisp tight punchy bass. I just djed a party in a bar that fits about 300 people in it and the bass was felt in every corner. Excellent woofer for sound reenforcement. I found both highs and lows adequate for the purpose - you are not trying to shake the walls of your house and make your neighbors aware of your new sound system. It is a pair of NEAR FIELD monitors and they do what they are designed to do perfectly. Some users may not fully enjoy these classy speakers because of the inferior analog output of the computer and cheap wires. Also, if you are listening to a low-quality MP3 files with bit rates lower than 192kb or such, you'll hear all the sound compression defects - do not blame your speakers then! Value: All I have to say is once you start using it, you will wonder how you made it w/o it. Sound: I am a Cubase SX3 user / window environment. This guy doesn't work to well doing Mackie Emulation, but product support sent me the beta plugin / driver for Cubase and it cleared things up. Let me tell you, this thing is AWESOME. If your a one man production team such as myself, you will love it. I didn't realize how going back and forth between the instrument and the computer keyboard slowed me down. I place this bad boy right on my keyboard and off I go! Support: They really responded fast and from what I have read in the forums, users with problems are treated great.
