Made of plastic. Quality: Again, made of plastic. Mine doesn't work anymore.(3 weeks) Value: You get what you pay for here. Desirability: Not particularly eye catching Sound: It does what it was made to do. It just doesn't do what it was made to do very well. Ease of Use: Fairly straight forward, just play with the knobs a bit then turn it on. Support: Not going to bother. Behringer Ada8000 Ultragain Pro 8-channel A/d D/a Converter Ad da Converters Behringer Computer Music 1 56 Feature: One thing I wish it came with was light pipe cables. All inputs and gain knobs are in the front so be ready for the cables to be in your way to adjust gain. Quality: Very well made for what it is. Value: You won't find a better value. Desirability: I had to have it well 3 of them to record live bands big drum kits and not break the bank. Sound: Sound is great for this price range. No better value for this price. Of course the Focusrite and Avalon pre's do sound better. I have used 3 of these for live and in the studio. They sound great doing both jobs. Ease of Use: Straightforward usability. Support: Never needed them Overall: I will be satisfied with this product for as long as Behringer makes it. If really serious about vocals, invest in a nice single channel or channel strip pre for this. This is a great product and got me well on my way in my studio and mobile recording rig. Behringer Src2496 Ultramatch Pro Format Converter Ad da Converters Behringer Computer Music 1 29 Feature: Top ratings because it does what it is advertised to do; nothing more, nothing less. Quality: No wall-warts. This will stay in a rack in the studio. I cannot attest to its durability on the road, although I don't know why anyone would take it with them. Value: For digital-only connections, you'll get more features than the only other item in the price range, the ART DI/O. Desirability: Behringer products look ... like Behringer products. Surprisingly, aesthetically much better than the older SRC2000. Of course, not even close to t.c. electronic in visual appeal, but it does what it is supposed to. Sound: Gain can be adjusted for analog, but cannot cut/boost for digital. If digital signal is high, a little distortion may be introduced. I don't particularly find the "emphasis" all that useful, but your mileage may vary. It's probably more intended for analog; I should read the manual. Support: Haven't needed it, but I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt. However, I wish I didn't have to pay internation postage for the registration card. Overall: I'll use this until it burns out. Review this product |
