That was the big drawback (imho) for the GDEC 15. Now you can write your own progressions "on-board" or compose on your computer and download to the amp, or find a suitable backing track on-line and transfer to the amp. GREAT. It was difficult at first to sort through the process of downloading via midi (since I am computer literate, but midi stupid), but after determining that my sound card was a problem, I purchased a $41 cable/midi (MIDISPORT UNO) which made it simple and without problems. Sound: This amp does a great job of modeling a pretty good range of amps. Ease of Use: Very user friendly when it comes to altering tones and guitar sounds. I wish cheap but quality products came in cheap but quality durable cases! Plastic is most certainly not a material I would choose to make something that gets troden on! The pots are a bit loose too, but once set they stay in their position so I guess it's not totally useless. Value: Great value for money. Desirability: If you need one you buy one. There is no sex appeal what-so-ever. Sound: Sounds just as good as any Boss version of this effect, yet a third of the price. Support: I have never needed to contact anyone. Overall: I bought it because it was cheap and would do the job I would ask of it. I wasn't going to be staping on it a lot... it will be on most of the time so I won't be worrying about it's ability to withstand a serious blow. It should last me a while yet. Review this product |

Behringer Buf300 Ultra Bass Flanger Pedal Bass Guitar Effects Behringer Bass Guitars, Amps, and Effects Review :Feature: My strings came preloaded from the factory on my American Deluxe Stratocaster, so nothing else came with the strings. Quality: The strings look awesome!! Shiny chrome color on even the low strings at 4,5 and 6! Playability is top notch. Value: Strings are worth as much as Ernie Ball, yet give way more for your buck in sound and looks. Desirability: I haven't seen better looking strings in all 7 and a half years of my time as a skilled guitarist. They are shiny chrome looking, much better than the gray steel look of other brands. Sound: Bright Ease of Use: Before I always used Ernie Ball strings, but now that I have touched these super bullet strings, I'm in heaven. The strings feel as if they have been polished and waxed already. Very comfortable and sliding is as easy as breathing. Support: Never needed help with them, but if you are switching gauges, adjusting the truss rod and bridge sound troublesome. Behringer Buf300 Ultra Bass Flanger Pedal Bass Guitar Effects Behringer Bass Guitars, Amps, and Effects 0 3 Quality: It would be nice if the pedal was metal instead of plastic, but it didn't affect the sound/quality. Value: I didn't think that it would sound all that good, judging from the price, but I was impressed. Desirability: Once again, it's a "sex appeal" looking pedal, but it has sex appeal sound. Sound: I loved the sound of this pedal, especially for that 70's Funk Style. It has a hell of a tone and it doesn't take the essence away from the bass. Ease of Use: Just plug it in. Support: Didn't need any support. Overall: This pedal should keep me satisfied for a while, if I ever lost it, or if it was stolen, I would search for a different pedal. Review this product |

Ibanez Pd7 Tone Lok Phat Hed Bass Overdrive Pedal Bass Guitar Effects Ibanez Bass Guitars, Amps, and Effects Review :Feature: The interior surface of the slide is rough and porous making for virtually no slippage on your finger. Quality: Dunlop quality. A.k.a. The Best quality. Value: You're paying for a "signature" product so of course its more expensive than others. If you can find the Dunlop Porcelain Moonshine slide, it's the same thing so I recommend that as a cheap alternative. Desirability: I found it very hard to find any porcelain slides out there, and I love their tone. That alone made this very desirable to me, but of course Mr. Perry is on bad mutha' and who doesn't love Aerosmith? Some people may not like the whole signature thing, but its tone was more than enough to win me over. Sound: On acoustics it resembles a glass slide, but with a bit more volume and midrange response. As for electrics its tone is slightly brighter than glass, not nearly as noisy as metal slides, and sounds big and bluesy like a slide should. No matter what you use it for, its tone is superbly soulful. Ease of Use: Big fingers beware! The large size won't fit comfortably over my ring finger knuckle, but i like it above the knuckle anyway. If you use your pinky, then this is totally irrelevant, so don't worry. Overall: If you can get over the signature stigma like I did, you will be very pleased this slide. Sound: My friend (whom I was in a band with) got this pedal for christmas a year ago and i just started jamming with his bass n' pedal. considering the crappy amp it was connected to, it made some great sound; it had nice, shaped distortion, with the chug still there. This way it isn't all or nothing. You can have a few different "settings" to work with. Quality: This is tough rating. The body and sounds or tone controls are first rate. My problem is in just two simple things. The battery holder does not fit well in the unit. The batter easily falls out. This is a pain. Secondly, the output is not strong enough. It should be seriously stronger. Value: Yes, it's worth the price. Tape the battery in place though. Desirability: It is way cool Sound: The tone is great. Nice and versital. Digitech Bass Synth Wah X-series Envelope Filter Pedal Bass Guitar Effects Digitech Bass Guitars, Amps, and Effects 0 21 Feature: It has a solid seven-feature set of Envelope Filter, Sub Envelope, Synth 1, Synth 2, Filter 1, Filter 2, and Sub Octave. My personal favorites are the two Synth types. The only thing lacking is that it could use a more pure synthesizer mode. Quality: I personally like the green color, it is just showy enough for me. All the knobs are secure, but the pedal can get a little rattle to it. It also drains serious battery power, so don't forget to unplug it when you are done!!! Value: It is top notch value for only $80.00! If you are an intermediate player, this is worth the dough! Trust me. Desirability: I like the color, the setup and the traditional pedal style, though i do think it could be just a little bigger and flashier. Sound: It has a good sound to it, which is good because my bass is a little lacking in quality and my amp is par. Ease of Use: It is decently easy to use, just know where to insert the cables. Quality: This will not break theres no way its all made of metal and theres nothin under the pedal that could break off unlike the dunlop crybaby. Value: I think all fx pedals are overpriced this is worth the money theres no cheaper alternative anyway but really it could be 60 or 70. Desirability: it looks cool i guess the sounds whats so appealin Sound: Its good what i expected. the tradition wah bassicaly is what it says. the funk wah during the frequincy sweep softens the highs. both sound great. it does sound worse when the battery starts to ware out so it be a good idea to get the ac adapter to plug it in. Ease of Use: it seems simple enough but i takes a bit to get used to. if you have had a wah pedal no troubles. Desirability: Super sexy, like that Morphine song(super sex). "This pedal is super sexy.." Sound: This gives me an AWESOME bass wah effect.
